UGLY BOX Holle Goat Milk Stage 3 Organic Formula (400g)

  • It's a long ways from the lush, organic dairy farms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to our warehouse in New Jersey.  A small percentage of formula boxes are damaged in transit.  Instead of selling dented or bent up "ugly boxes" for full price and annoying our customers, we remove the box, inspect the sealed inner foil to ensure it's intact and then sell it at a HUGE discount (as much as 50%).  The image shown here is an example demonstrating that the product SKU (which matches our SKU number) is printed on the inner foil pouch along with the expiration date (DAY/MONTH/YEAR) and the lot number.

    AGE: 10 Months and Up

    YIELD: Approximately 90oz of Formula

Holle Goat Stage 3 Organic Follow-On Infant Milk Formula is made using organic goat milk (in accordance with EU organic laws) and is suitable for feeding from the 10th month onward after using Holle Goat Stage 2 or subsequent to breastfeeding.

Generally, goat’s milk formula is recommended as a great, first alternative to hypoallergenic formulas when milk allergies are suspected.  Additionally, as goat’s milk naturally contains less lactose as compared with cow’s milk, goat’s milk formulas can sometimes work well when your little one exhibits lactose sensitivities or intolerance.

The organic maltodextrin used to make this formula creamy and satiating for your little one is also EU certified organic.  Other ingredients include essential vitamins and minerals to promote your baby’s development and meet EU regulatory requirements.

This formula can also be used for preparing porridge, such as Holle rice or oat porridges, which we also sell.

Please Note: This item contains no outer box as it was damaged in transit to us. The inner pouch has not been damaged. No returns or refunds.

  • Generally, goat’s milk formula is recommended as a first alternative to hypoallergenic formulas when milk allergies are suspected. Additionally, as goat’s milk naturally contains less lactose as compared with cow’s milk, goat’s milk formulas can sometimes work well when your little one exhibits lactose sensitivities or intolerance.* Goat’s milk is a fantastic source of protein. Additionally, it contains less sugar (i.e. lactose), over 10% more calcium, around 25% more Vitamin B6, close to 50% more Vitamin A, and well over 100% more Potassium than regular cow's milk. While cow's milk comprises around 17% fatty acids, goat's milk averages 35% fatty acids, making it more nutritional for your little one. It’s important to note that the flavor is different and stronger and it may take some getting used to.

Only EU Certified Organic Dairy Farms
    Vitamins A, C, D and E for baby's immune system
High Natural Vitamin and Mineral Content
    No corn-based sweeteners
    No gluten
    No GMOs

*It’s important to remember that some of the cow’s milk and goat’s milk protein structures are the same. This means that children with a cow's milk allergy may therefore also not be able to tolerate these goat milk formulas. In such cases, testing should take place in consultation with your pediatrician.

  • PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
    Holle Preparation

Preparation for all powdered formulas (also consistent with US FDA guidelines):

    1. Boil water freshly for each of baby’s meals and allow to cool down to 120 degrees Fahrenheit (50 °C)
    2. Pour in ½ of the necessary amount of boiled water into a clean and sterilized bottle
    3. Using the scoop provided with your box of formula (note that spoon sizes vary by brand and even lot), add the correct number of leveled scoops of powder (1 leveled scoop of powder per 1oz / 30ml of water)
    4. Close the bottle with the nipple and cap and vigorously shake
    5. Add the remaining half of the water to the bottle and shake again
    6. Cool to drinking temperature (approximately 98 degrees Fahrenheit or ~ 37 °C) and ALWAYS test the temperature of the milk before feeding to avoid scalding or burning your little one

There are many mothers that regularly use distilled water without boiling it, apparently with no negative consequences.  We cannot recommend this approach and there are actual reasons even the US FDA recommends pre-boiling tap or distilled water instead.
