Lebenswert Formula Has Been Discontinued
Lebenswert bio has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Once the last European stock sold through there was nothing left to reorder, so we have stopped carrying it. We are sorry. It was a good formula and a lot of families were feeding it.
Switch to Holle
Holle is the closest match, and not by coincidence. Holle introduced Lebenswert more than a decade ago as its more affordable organic line, so it is the same company and the same approach to milk. Holle's own cow milk formula is a step up on certification: it is Demeter biodynamic, the strictest organic standard in Europe, where Lebenswert was certified organic but not Demeter.
Stage for stage
- Lebenswert Stage 1 becomes Holle Cow Milk Stage 1, from birth to 6 months, 400g.
- Lebenswert Stage 2 becomes Holle Cow Milk Stage 2, from 6 months, 600g.
- Lebenswert Stage 3 becomes Holle Cow Milk Stage 3, from 10 months, 600g.
Making the switch
Most babies move from one European formula to another without much fuss. If yours is sensitive, it is worth mixing the two over three or four days, starting at about a quarter Holle and working up. If your baby has a diagnosed allergy or intolerance, or you are unsure, speak to your pediatrician before changing formula.
